How to repair or where to find new graphics card for iMac G5 20'' 2.1GHz?

I have finally found out what was wrong with my iMac. It turned out that the video card is not communicating. I don't think it is replaceable, but if it is, where can I find a new one? Or how can I fix it?|||There are several websites offering parts for the iMc G-5, one is linked below. Apple's article about replacing parts does not include the video card so there is no "how to" at their website. Perhaps one of the sites offering parts for your system can offer information about replacing?

Good luck!|||You don't. The video card cannot be replaced without replacing the entire motherboard, and that's going to cost more than that iMac is worth. Pull your drive out and sell the rest as eBay scrap.

K, not only does that site not have the part he needs, but it's a grotesque ripoff to boot. They want way, WAY too much for those parts, not to mention their laughably absurd prices on secondhand Macs. Really, $500 for an eMac? Who the hell is running that retarded website?|||It depends on what problem the video card has. If it is due to heat damage, you have a good chance of fixing it by putting it in the oven for a few minutes. This will fuse together the parts that has been damaged the heat. If a capacitor is blown, do some research and solder on a new capacitor.

I'm new to this and i'm planning to fix a 6790 by baking it in the oven.

lets hope my solution will work for both of us
