Computer restarting when i play wow...

it usually only happens when i'm playing world of warcraft but it has happened outside of the game...I know my video card was overheating so i got a fan for it then it keeps doing it still but the video card is no longer overheating. i've run some scans on it never finding anything and i've cleaned it bout 2 weeks ago...I'm honestly about 2 steps from rebooting the whole thing but i don't want to due to all the data on it and inability to save most of it. also idk if it matters but wow gets a lot of crit errors as of late and i've had to run the repair on it several times in the past two months. I'm out of ideas as to what it can be and yes i have 2g of ram (i think i bought it so long ago its hard to remember) and my video card i bought just last year and it worked great the first 8 months. any suggestion would be helpful.|||Whenever I am called to work on any computer that is not working as expected, I start out by cleaning it thoroughly and rebooting.

I choose to use free software for all the different cleanings - you may have your favorites.

First, reboot your computer

2 - Run Ccleaner to clean out all temp files, etc.

3 - Run AVG or your anti-virus program, after updating!

4 - Run Spybot, Ad-Aware and Spyware Blaster after updating!

5 - Reboot the computer

6 - Run Error-checking (make sure to check both boxes!)

7 - Run DEFRAG

Reboot and see if the issue is still there.

NOTE: If you are unable to do any of these things, reboot your computer and start in SAFEMODE with NETWORKING. To do this:

- Reboot and keep tapping the F8 key as it reboots to bring up a menu that will ask you what you want to do - you can choose SAFEMODE WITH NETWORKING (so you can still access the internet).

You may also want to ensure you have the latest updates for your software. Visit http://secunia.com/software_inspector/ and use their free-for-personal-use software scanner. Be sure to check the box to enable thorough system inspection. It will take several minutes, but at the end you will be given a report of all software on your system that has known updates for security purposes. One by one you can click the links provided and update.

HTH!
