Is A Graphic Card & A Video Card the same thing?

Are they the same?because this technician repaired my laptop a few days back, he said the video card is at fault and dat he actually fixed it. I payed 95dollars for it. But then, less than 24hours later, my laptop screen ***** come on again, because this is the problem i faced before doing repairs. Then i asked him to take a look again. Now he says, its the graphic card causing problems and dat i have to pay more for it. Please advice me on this as im not too knowledged with the internal parts of a computer. Please? I dont want to get cheated. Im still studying and i come from a poor family.|||yes.|||A graphic card is the same thing as a video card.A graphic card is also called as graphics processor.A graphic card's purpose is to render images in the screen.Without it, you won't see anything in the screen. Its very important especially for gamers who plays PC games with high system requirements. If there is a problem with it, then you should replace it or have it examined and repaired by an authorized technician.Or, probably its the laptop itself which has the problem so also have it checked.|||Yeah, graphics cards and video cards are the same thing. It could just be a different problem that requires more extensive repairs, so no, I don't think that you are being cheated.

Good luck, mate.
